Morocco Business Visa for Indians - 2026 Quick Answer

Indian passport holders need a visa for every trip to Morocco, whether it is a meeting in Casablanca, a trade fair or a holiday. India is not on the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of nationalities exempted from an entry visa.

There are two routes:

  • e-Visa: an online application on Morocco's official e-Visa portal. As of November 2026, Standard costs 770 MAD with 3 business days of processing, and Express costs 1,100 MAD with 1 business day. Both are single entry, with a stay of up to 30 days.
  • Sticker visa: a paper visa filed only through the Embassy's accredited centres AMVAC (Atlys), BLS and VFS. It is the route for multiple entries or stays over 30 days.

There is no visa-free entry with a Schengen, US or UK visa. India's Ministry of External Affairs lists Morocco under e-Visa, not visa on arrival, with data as of 2 February 2026.

Fees change, so we recommend checking them before you apply. Visarun is an agency: we help travellers and companies pick the route and check documents, while the decision belongs to the Moroccan authorities.

Can You Enter Visa-Free With a Schengen, US or UK Visa?

No. An Indian passport holder cannot enter Morocco visa-free on the strength of a Schengen, US or UK visa or residence permit. No official Moroccan source grants Indians this exemption.

  • The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of visa-exempt nationalities does not include India.
  • In February 2026, the Moroccan National Tourism Office's country manager for India said Morocco does not offer visa-free entry based on US or Schengen visas and that every Indian traveller needs a Moroccan visa. Visa-free access depends on nationality, not on third-country visas.
  • India's Ministry of External Affairs lists Morocco under e-Visa.

The idea may come from the e-Visa portal. Its eligibility checks mention a multiple-entry visa valid for more than 90 days and a residence permit valid for more than 180 days, but only as e-Visa conditions for some nationalities, not tied to India in the portal text and not a visa exemption. Indians qualify for the e-Visa by nationality anyway.

Morocco e-Visa - Eligibility, Fees and Processing

Indians have been able to use Morocco's e-Visa since 10 January 2023, according to the Embassy of Morocco in India. Official texts frame it as a facility for tourism and business, a policy aim rather than a list of allowed activities. In practice it serves short tourist and business visits.

Fees and processing as of November 2026

  • Standard: 770 MAD, 3 business days, single entry, stay up to 30 days, validity up to 180 days
  • Express: 1,100 MAD, 1 business day, single entry, stay up to 30 days, validity up to 180 days

Business days run Monday to Friday, excluding Moroccan public holidays. The portal warns that processing may take longer if additional verification is required. An older embassy page gives the embassy's estimate of 24 to 72 hours, but the portal figures are the ones to plan around. We recommend applying one to two weeks before the trip.

Validity and passport rules

  • The e-Visa is valid until the date shown on it, for a single entry and a stay of 30 days maximum. The portal does not describe an extension, so a longer project is better planned on a sticker visa.
  • The form does not accept a passport with 90 days or less of validity. It does not say from which date this counts, so we recommend a passport with at least 6 months left.
  • The planned exit date cannot fall after the passport's expiry or the end of the e-Visa's validity.

The tourism office's India head said in February 2026 that applicants need a scanned passport copy and a photo, with no appointments. That is the tourism office's description, not the official document list.

Some events in Morocco use a dedicated event e-Visa that asks for your event registration ID and rejects unregistered applicants. Which fairs use it was not confirmed, so check with the organiser.

Sticker Visa at the Embassy in New Delhi

The sticker visa suits trips the e-Visa does not cover, such as several entries or a stay over 30 days. Applications reach the Embassy's Consular Service only through three accredited agencies:

  • Atlys Morocco Visa Application Center (AMVAC), in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata
  • BLS Morocco Visa Application Centre, Delhi
  • VFS Morocco Visa Application Centre

Validity and length of stay

According to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs consular guide, a visa is valid from one day to three months, or exceptionally one year, with one, two or multiple entries. The issuing authority sets the stay and validity based on the applicant's profile.

  • Short-validity visa: one stay or several short stays, each lasting 1 to 90 days
  • Long-validity visa: multiple entry, valid for no more than one year, each stay 1 to 90 days
  • A long-validity visa holder staying over three months requests a registration card from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN)

Fees as listed by BLS in September 2026

The Embassy publishes no fee table, so the figures below come from BLS. As listed by BLS in September 2026:

  • Single entry: INR 6,539 visa fee, INR 7,269 in total with the BLS fee and GST
  • Multiple entry: INR 11,988 visa fee, INR 12,718 in total
  • One-year visa: INR 16,348 visa fee, INR 17,078 in total

BLS also lists a separate INR 730 service fee and takes cash only. AMVAC and VFS fees and payment terms were not verified, so confirm the amount at submission.

Processing time

BLS gives 7 to 10 business days from the time the Embassy receives the file, varying case by case. This is an agency estimate, not an Embassy commitment, and the Embassy may ask for additional documents.

Documents for a Business Trip

These lists apply to the sticker visa. The e-Visa has its own online form, so we recommend checking its requirements on the official portal.

What the traveller prepares

The consular guide's business visa list starts with:

  • Entry visa application form
  • 2 recent colour photos on a white background (4 x 3 cm per the official list). Follow your visa centre's photo rules.
  • Identity card, residence permit or other proof of current address
  • Passport valid longer than the stay, plus a copy of the identity and validity pages

The BLS checklist also asks for:

  • Passport valid 6 months from submission with 1 blank page, plus a copy of the first and last pages
  • Covering letter from the company or the applicant
  • Electronic tickets
  • Original bank statement for 3 months, stamped and signed by the bank, with no minimum balance stated
  • For employees, an original NOC or leave letter on company letterhead, signed and stamped
  • For the self-employed, proof of business ownership and a covering letter on letterhead

What the Moroccan host or the Indian employer provides

The business document depends on the trip. Applicants need the one that matches their case, not all four:

  • Meetings with a company: a written invitation from an industrial, commercial or service operator
  • Private contracts: a recommendation from the relevant professional chamber
  • Trade fairs: an invitation from the organising body
  • Public-sector business: a recommendation from the relevant ministry

BLS asks for the company invitation to carry a signature legalised by local authorities in Morocco and attested by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or apostilled. Legalisation happens in Morocco, so we recommend asking the host early.

Conference, investor and technical assistance visas

  • Conferences: an invitation from the organiser, plus a mission order for government applicants
  • Investors: a recommendation from the foreign investment directorate, a professional federation, a Regional Investment Centre (CRI) or a Moroccan partner
  • Technical assistance: a mission order from the provider, or a recommendation from the State body receiving it, with the contract where relevant
  • After-sales service: the contract, customs documents or a bank letter of credit, and a certificate of the technician's qualification

For a team trip, we recommend that covering letters, the invitation and tickets show the same dates and purpose.

What You Can and Cannot Do on a Business Visit

Official pages do not publish a list of permitted activities. They publish visa categories instead. The business visa list covers company invitations, public-sector business, private contracts and trade fairs, while conferences, investors and technical assistance or after-sales service have their own categories.

A business visa does not cover:

  • Employment: paid work needs a work visa, with a contract of employment validated by Morocco's Ministry of Employment.
  • Switching visa type: a visa's type cannot be changed after entering Morocco. A new visa has to be requested from the country of residence.
  • Guaranteed entry: a visa does not give an irrevocable right of entry. Border checks may cover means of stay, the reason for the trip and guarantees of return.

We recommend carrying copies of the invitation and return ticket for border checks.

Recent Changes (2025-2026)

As of November 2026, we found no official change to Morocco's visa rules for Indian travellers in 2026. The milestones behind today's rules:

  • Mid-2022: Morocco launched its e-Visa and has extended it to more countries since.
  • 28 December 2022: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the e-Visa for nationals of Jordan, India, Guatemala and Azerbaijan from 10 January 2023.
  • The portal now offers two e-Visa options, Standard and Express.
  • AFCON 2025 (21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026): the organisers and CAF made YALLA app e-Visas free for supporters attending. It ended with the tournament and covered fans only, not business travel.

As of early 2026, there was no direct flight between India and Morocco, according to the tourism office's India head.

FAQ

Do Indians need a visa for Morocco?

Yes. India is not on Morocco's visa-exempt list, so Indians need an e-Visa or a sticker visa for business and tourist trips.

Can I enter Morocco with my Schengen, US or UK visa?

No. Morocco's tourism office said in February 2026 that third-country visas do not give visa-free entry. The portal's checks on such visas are e-Visa conditions, not an exemption.

How much does the Morocco e-Visa cost for Indians?

As of November 2026, the official portal lists Standard at 770 MAD and Express at 1,100 MAD.

How long does the e-Visa take?

3 business days for Standard and 1 for Express, longer if additional verification is required.

How long can I stay on a Morocco e-Visa?

Up to 30 days on a single entry, within the validity shown on the e-Visa (up to 180 days). For longer stays, a sticker visa is the usual route.

How much is the business sticker visa in India?

As listed by BLS in September 2026: INR 7,269 in total for single entry, INR 12,718 for multiple entry and INR 17,078 for one year, cash only at BLS. Check the amount at submission.

Which invitation letter is needed?

It depends on the trip: a Moroccan company invitation, a professional chamber recommendation, a fair organiser's invitation or a ministry recommendation for public business.

Can I work in Morocco on a business visa?

No. Employment needs a work visa with a contract validated by the Ministry of Employment, and the visa type cannot be changed inside Morocco.

Is there visa-free transit for Indians?

No official rule for it was found. Morocco issues a transit visa for one or two transits, each up to 72 hours.

Can Visarun guarantee my Morocco visa?

No. We help choose the route and check documents. The decision belongs to the Moroccan authorities.
