Which Azerbaijan Visa do you need?

Single-entry visa

Apply at an Azerbaijani embassy or consulate in the country where you live or in a third country. The state fee is USD 20, the visa is valid for up to 90 days, and the decision comes within 15 days.

Multiple-entry visa

Valid for up to 2 years with several entries. The state fee is USD 350.

Transit visa

For passing through Azerbaijan to a third country. It is valid for 30 days and allows up to 5 days in the country. The state fee is USD 20.

Visa at the airport in special cases

If Azerbaijan has no embassy or consulate in your country and there is a direct flight to Azerbaijan, a visa for up to 30 days can be issued at an Azerbaijani international airport.

Do Filipino citizens need a visa for Azerbaijan?

Yes. Filipino citizens need a visa from an Azerbaijani embassy or consulate, because Filipino passports are not on the e-visa list or the visa-free lists. You fill in the form on the MFA Visa Application Portal, visaapplication.mfa.gov.az, then submit it in person or through a representative at a mission in your country of residence or in a third country. Holders of a residence permit of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar or Kuwait, or of a UAE resident visa, valid for more than 6 months, can get a visa of up to 30 days at the airport instead.

How much does an Azerbaijan visa cost?

The state fee is USD 20 for a single-entry visa and USD 350 for a multiple-entry visa, under the Law on State Fee, as published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A transit visa also costs USD 20. The fee is not refunded if the visa is refused, and proof of payment is one of the documents you submit. How long does it take to get an Azerbaijan visa?

Under the MFA visa processing rules, an application is considered no later than 15 days from the date it is submitted. It can be decided within 2 working days in cases set by the authorities, or when the trip is due to urgent medical treatment or to the serious illness or death of a close relative living in Azerbaijan. Apply well before your flight, and allow time to reach the embassy or consulate that takes your application.

How long can Filipino citizens stay in Azerbaijan on a visa?

As long as the visa states. A single-entry visa is valid for up to 90 days and allows one entry and exit in that period; a multiple-entry visa is valid for up to 2 years. If you stay more than 15 days, you must be registered at your place of stay; the hotel or landlord files it with the State Migration Service. Entry by road is suspended until 2 January 2027 and the Baku-Tbilisi train is only for visa-free travellers, so plan to fly in.

What documents do Filipino citizens need for an Azerbaijan visa?

The application form from visaapplication.mfa.gov.az; your passport, valid at least 3 months longer than the visa, with copies of its main pages; two 3x4 cm colour photos; a copy of your medical insurance certificate, unless your host covers medical costs; and proof that the state fee is paid. An invitation is not required for tourism, transit, official or personal visits. Minors travelling alone also need a notarised copy of their birth certificate and parental permission.
