Thailand e-Visa FAQ for Pakistani passport holders

Do Pakistani citizens need a visa for Thailand?
Yes. Pakistani citizens need a visa for Thailand, because their passport is not covered by the 30-day or 15-day visa exemption, a bilateral agreement or visa on arrival. For a holiday, the visa to get is the Tourist Visa (TR). Since 1 January 2025 all Thai visa applications are made online at thaievisa.go.th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal, while you are outside Thailand. The Tourist Visa allows up to 60 days per entry.
How much does the Thailand Tourist Visa cost?
The official fee is 1,000 THB for a single-entry Tourist Visa and 5,000 THB for a multiple-entry one. Thai embassies and consulates charge it in local currency, for example 40 USD for single entry at the embassies in Washington and Moscow. The fee is non-refundable. Some missions collect it offline after the online application, in cash, by bank transfer or by demand draft. Visarun's service fee is separate and shown in the pricing section.
How long does it take to get a Thailand e-Visa?
There is no single official processing time, because each Thai embassy or consulate handles its own applications. The Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow, for example, processes them within 14 working days of the fee being paid, longer for some nationalities. The embassy in Washington asks applicants to apply at least 30 days and no more than 90 days before departure. Apply from outside Thailand and leave enough time before your flight.
How long can Pakistani citizens stay in Thailand on a Tourist Visa?
Up to 60 days per entry. A single-entry Tourist Visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, so you must travel within that time. Inside Thailand you can ask the Immigration Bureau for an extension of up to 30 days, granted at the officer's discretion. If you plan several trips, a multiple-entry Tourist Visa is valid for 6 months, with up to 60 days per entry.
What documents do I need for a Thailand Tourist e-Visa?
A passport valid for at least 6 months, a photo taken within the last 6 months, a document showing your current location, a flight booking into and out of Thailand, proof of accommodation and financial evidence of 20,000 THB per person or 40,000 THB per family. After approval, print the approval email for the airline and immigration, and fill in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at tdac.immigration.go.th within 3 days before arrival.
