Phu Quoc island without a visa

Do Brazilian citizens need a visa for Vietnam?

Yes. Brazilian citizens need a visa to enter Vietnam. The usual route is the e-visa, issued online by Vietnam's Immigration Department through evisa.gov.vn (the same system runs at thithucdientu.gov.vn). It is valid for up to 90 days, for single or multiple entry, and you must apply while you are outside Vietnam. One exception: foreign visitors arriving on Phu Quoc island from abroad can stay there up to 30 days without a visa, but that exemption covers Phu Quoc only.

How much does the Vietnam e-visa cost for Brazilian citizens?

The official fee published on evisa.gov.vn is 25 USD for a single-entry e-visa and 50 USD for a multiple-entry e-visa. It is paid online through the portal's payment gateway when the application is submitted. The government does not refund it if the e-visa is refused, and a duplicate application paid by mistake is not refunded either, so every detail should be checked before the fee is paid.

How long does it take to get a Vietnam e-visa?

According to the Immigration Department, e-visas are usually processed within 3 working days after the fee is paid and the information is complete and valid. If an application needs further verification, the result comes within 3 to 15 working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted as working days, so leave enough time before your flight, especially around holidays.

How long can Brazilian citizens stay in Vietnam on an e-visa?

You can stay until the end date of your e-visa, which can be valid for up to 90 days with single or multiple entry. Your passport must remain valid for at least 30 days after that end date. At the border, show the printed e-visa with your passport and check that the stay period stamped on entry matches the e-visa. Working in Vietnam also requires a work permit or a confirmation of exemption from it.
