Most travelers can enter Honduras without a visa for short-term stays, but requirements vary significantly by nationality and purpose of visit. Citizens from numerous countries enjoy visa-free access, while others must obtain authorization before arrival.

CA-4 Agreement for Regional Travel
The Central America-4 Border Control Agreement is a treaty between Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, where a visa issued by one of the four countries is honored by all four. The time period for the visa applies to the total time spent in any of the four countries without leaving the CA-4 area. Central American nationals from CA-4 countries may also enter with an ID card.

This does not apply to nationals of Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Bangladesh, Botswana, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Timor-Leste, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Vietnam and Yemen.

Essential Passport Requirements
All visitors must hold a passport valid for three months. However, the U.S. State Department requires passports to have six months validity, and passports must have at least 2 blank pages. Some nationalities may need to show onward travel tickets and proof of accommodation.
Countries Requiring Visas
Citizens from most African, Asian, and some Eastern European countries must obtain a visa before traveling. This includes nationals from China, India, Russia, and most Middle Eastern countries.
Transit and Special Cases
Transit passengers remaining in international areas typically do not need visas for stays under 24 hours. Diplomatic passport holders may have different requirements regardless of nationality.
Health Requirements
The government of Honduras requires proof of yellow fever vaccination only if a traveller is arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever, including countries in Africa and South America.
Always verify current requirements through Honduras official consular services or your nearest Honduran embassy, as visa policies can change without notice.
